Your data
Privacy notice
This notice explains how Lifestyle Photography Ltd, trading as Flying Dress Africa, handles your personal data.
Who we are
Lifestyle Photography Ltd (trading as Flying Dress Africa) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: info@flyingdressafrica.com.
Data we collect
Name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, authentication and account records (never send us your password), booking details (destination, date, guests, preferences), messages and enquiries, Vision Planner inputs, gallery delivery records, and technical data such as IP address, device and browser identifiers and basic usage data.
Why we use it & legal basis
Providing your shoot and account (contract): handling bookings, payments status, galleries and your account.
Customer support (contract / legitimate interests): replying to enquiries and complaints.
Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests).
Improving our service (legitimate interests).
Marketing: consent where required, or legitimate interests where legally permitted. You can opt out at any time. Portfolio image use follows the permission and opt-out arrangements agreed for your booking; where consent is required, we obtain it separately.
Legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
Service providers who host and run our website, database, email and image galleries (including Pixieset), AI processing providers for Vision Planner prompts, and photographers or local service partners where needed to fulfil your booking. Share only information necessary for your enquiry; do not include sensitive personal data in AI prompts.
Stripe, our payment provider, for processing payments, tax calculation and invoicing. Stripe also handles payment data as a separate controller under its own privacy notice.
Professional advisers (legal, accounting), and authorities where required by law.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens we use applicable safeguards such as adequacy decisions, UK-approved transfer agreements or Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK addendum where required. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards.
How long we keep it
Our standard retention approach is to keep booking, payment-status and accounting records for up to 6 years after the transaction where needed for legal or tax purposes, and enquiries for up to 2 years after the last contact. Account data is kept while needed to provide the account. Images and gallery records are retained for delivery and agreed use; a gallery access countdown is not a promise that all copies have been deleted. Disputes or legal obligations may require longer retention. Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed; contact us about a specific record.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@flyingdressafrica.com; we respond within one month. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
Photographs and sensitive information
Photos and booking preferences may reveal personal information. We use images to provide and deliver your shoot and for agreed portfolio use. We do not use photographs for biometric identification. Please avoid sending health or other sensitive information unless necessary to discuss an accommodation; contact us privately first.
Automated decisions and updates
The AI planner provides creative suggestions, not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. This notice may be updated to reflect changes in our services or legal duties. Contact us with privacy questions or requests.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and restricted administrator access.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security and booking selections. Payment providers, map services and external galleries may process device and usage information under their own notices when you use them. We do not deploy optional analytics or advertising cookies without consent where required. You can clear or block storage in your browser and manage any preferences offered by external services; some features may stop working.
